Two Sunday’s ago I heard a sermon at Church that really touched me.  It was about Enthusiasm.

As the Pastor was delivering his message, my head was bobbing in agreement over and over and over.

It started with a powerful quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson…

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

The root of the word enthusiam caught me by surprise and will blow your mind.

I encourage you to “google it” as I dont want to spoil the surprise.

Being enthusiastic is an incredible gift.

… It is contagious.

With enthusiam you will have the force WITHIN you to do more.  To go the extra mile with others.  To do great.

… but like most things, it’s a choice.  If you wait for an external force to give you enthusiam, to motivate you… you wont move mountains.  You will be less likely to succeed.

As a leader you have to take responsibility for your own enthusiam.

YOU have to ignite the fire.

Think about it this way…

Noble Prize winners couldn’t have won without enthusiasm.

The greatest sports player couldn’t achieve his/her level of greatness without enthusiasm.

The greatest war couldn’t have been won without enthusiasm.

More literaly…. MLK, Mandela, Mother Theresa, Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth couldn’t have accomplished what they did without enthusiasm.

and the list goes on and on.

So today I ask you, what are you enthusiastic for?

Get fired up and do something great.

To your sucess,

Jose
